Illustrator and concept artist. Completed BFA majoring in illustration 2016. Working as a full time freelance artist. I aim to be clear and thorough! I want to teach you all the things I've been taught and all the other stuff, too! We'll keep it fun, but don't get distracted - I pack a lot of information into my classes! Materials needed: Something to write with and something to write on! In this class we'll cover shape language, color psychology, gesture, and story. At the end, we'll create a character to demonstrate the featured concepts! Approximately 1.5 hours are given to the concepts and 1.5 hours are given to the character creation demonstration. Why are shapes, color, and gesture important? Everything has them! Animals, landscapes, people, and objects feature each of these ideas. It's our job to make them interesting and convincing! I'll show you why certain shapes are used a certain way, why colors make us feel the way they do, what a gesture is, and how to manipulate all these things to tell the story you want to tell!
